As well as thanks to Sue for her patience, understanding and support, thanks to the following for helping me get ready for this trip. No-one has paid anything to be here – these are just good people who have put in extra time and effort, or have helped me out in one way or another. So employ their services, buy their products, join their clubs or buy them a beer!

In no particular order:

Philippe at VeloFasto – help with replacing the worn out parts of my bike

Ben at Kinetics – taking on Border Force and winning (rear hub)
Stewart at Rohloff – a very quick hub service and turnaround
Stephen at Island Medical Centre – sorting out medical preparation
Eduarda at Regenesis (FitnessFirst) – post training sports massage
Verity at Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic – helping sort out training aches & pains
Clive at Jersey Rowing Club – rowing has got my back stronger for this trip
Colm at Velo Sport Jersey – for keeping the cycling interesting over the years (despite my insistence on riding a funny bike)
Tony at Flame Rouge – setting sue up with a plan that’s given me more time for my training
Richard at JT – support with my career break
Ben at Big Maggys – building small wheels with big hubs at short notice
Jersey Rouleurs & Howard Greenside – Strava – for being virtual training partners, helping me get the miles in over the winter
Chrissy at DropIn Chalets– for helping out with the flat in Chamonix

Donal at Alan E Duchemin Opticians – for getting the long wear contact lenses right

Mark at for out of hours support and resolving a last minute issue with the GPS tracker

Thanks to family, friends & colleagues for their support – and to you for reading this blog!

Gracias por parar – fue bueno conocerlo . Me pasó a tener un gran ciclo durante un pase en 2400m y luego en Huachchil . Disfrutar de la bicicleta de montaña – Saltillo está rodeado de algunas hermosas montañas !
